Destina receives an unexpected opportunity to escape the palace. She can take that chance and protect herself, or remain and attempt to prevent the coming war.
The second option carries an enormous price.
To stop Alaeddin, she may have to reveal her real identity and risk everything she has been trying to protect. Alaeddin’s decision to move against Kalonoros effectively places Destina between her father and the Sultan.
Her relationship with Alaeddin is therefore no longer simply a personal matter. Whatever she chooses could affect two sides preparing for war.
Ertugrul Bey and the Kayi Enter the Story
Episode 3 also opens one of the most interesting new chapters of the series.
Preparing for the coming conflict, Sultan Alaeddin decides to gather the Oghuz tribes under one banner. When his statesmen ask who should lead alongside him, Alaeddin turns toward a respected warrior:
Kayı Beyi Ertuğrul Bey.
An invitation is to be sent to Ertuğrul Bey and the Kayı tribe to join Alaeddin’s campaign. ATV’s official promotion specifically presents Ertuğrul Bey’s arrival as the beginning of a major new alliance in the story.
